…why i teach yoga for pregnancy…
yoga was an essential part of pregnancy for me. during pregnancy with my first daughter, i became single and found yoga helped me cope with stress and anxiety. yoga practice gave me tools to cope with challenges as they arose in daily life, not just when in a class. when pregnant with my second daughter seven years later I experienced hyperemesis gravidarum (extreme morning sickness), and then gallstones. my practice of yoga, especially the breathing techniques, helped me get through these difficulties, and to stay positive and connected to my growing baby.
and in the births of both my daughters, i drew on the techniques i had practiced throughout pregnancy, to embrace the great journey to meet my babes.
i am excited to now have the opportunity to share with other women these practices i have gained so much from myself.
it is my intention to create a supportive and nurturing space for women to find their own best way to motherhood.
